I adore Kaoru Mori's work. So I find this awesome. Maybe the most awesome awesome to ever awesome. XD I'm pretty sure that even if you don't know anything about her or her work, you will find this interesting, at the very least! You don't need to know any Japanese (she's very shy, and doesn't say anything anyhow) - just click play on the videos to watch her create a work of art!

The picture you see her drawing is from her current series, Otoyomegatari. That's the main character, Amira. It's a historical drama, "set along the Silk Road that connected Asia with the Mediterranean world, including North Africa and Europe in the 19th century. The story of Amira, a woman skilled in archery and horsemanship, sent to marry Karluk, a boy from another village who is 8 years younger than her. But all is not well, as her village decides to take her back..."

I can't wait for it to come out in English (I've been reading the scanlations, but would def. buy this one)!
